Reinventing

This collage is one of my favorites. I created it last year during a rather confusing time in my professional life.

There is a misconception that a person finds something they love doing and sticks with it forever. I’ve been lucky to find a steady job I enjoy but I understand the job isn’t what makes me who I am.

I’ve never been afraid to show my interests in my social media feeds whether it be record collecting, fixing old stereo gear or buying and reselling items online. But I’ve worried about what others will think while watching me do so.

What I’ve found is that most people enjoy seeing what interests me outside of my profession. They like a person with multiple interests and tell others about you when appropriate.

It’s my hobbies people reference more than my career.

This is how I feel reinvented.
