I’ve already post two weeks worth of collages and explained the benefits collaging has brought to me. One thing I’ve noticed is that this practice has begun to train my brain to see interesting images and phrases to cut out and keep for future collages.
Also, I’ve started keeping a smaller pocket book size notebook where I can easily collage smaller ideas faster throughout the day. If I see something that inspires me I can glue it down right away. I will post those later.
I’m still not sharing these on social media due to the concern that I’ll start collaging for likes instead of my own well being. I enjoy putting them here, on my own website, for archival purposes.
Again, this has been a wonderful daily exercise for me. I can’t recommend it enough to anyone who feels the urge to create but hasn’t figured out what to do. It’s a great way to get thoughts on the page and the tearing up of the original images releases tension built up from life’s frustrations.
For now, here is another set of collage work.
