I found two copies (!!!) of the below 45 at the thrift store yesterday. I had never heard of Dorothy Norwood, but I noticed the interesting label, GRC, one that I was unfamiliar with. I thought there might be a chance it was a rare soul gem so I looked it up and noticed Dorothy is, you probably guessed it, a gospel soul singer.
Released in 1975 so Side A has a more funky soul feel to it while Side B has a great laid back Staple Singers vibe to it. I still can’t believe I found two copies!
I think this gospel soul obsession of mine is making itself known to me as much I’m searching it out. I’m all for it.
