I spent most of the weekend adding records for sale to my Discogs store. I set a goal to get over 500 albums listed for sale and I was able to meet that goal this weekend.
Whenever I add more albums to the store, it results in more sales. The photo above shows most of the orders from this weekend that I’m mailing out today. There are a few orders that haven’t paid yet and still need to be packed.
I like to take walks around the block in our neighborhood and in warmer weather I’m often wearing a shirt I made for myself that says, “I Will Buy Your Records”. My neighbor saw the shirt and brought a crate of records by the house for me to look through. I bought them all. “Good, he said, I have another crate to bring by.” Just as I was finishing listing the first crate of records for sale on Discogs, he showed up with the second crate of records photographed below.
I still have several boxes of records to list from a collection of 2,000+ I purchased last year in Cincinnati, OH. But as I comb through those to get listed, I’m already itching to buy another collection.
I’d love to get my store up to 1,000 items listed for sale. Once the store has a certain level of inventory, it feels as if the sales come in constantly each week.
I do have a bad habit of finding and buying more records to resell before I get my current inventory listed. This month, I’m trying to hold on buying anything new for the store until I get the last of the boxes of records I bought in Cincinnati listed for sale!
