Whoa…I stumbled on this song by Trevor Dandy while driving into work this morning thanks to the great Numero compilation, Good God! A Gospel Funk Hymnal.
According to Numero’s site, the song “has since gone on to be sampled by a plethora of artists, including Kid Cudi, Ghostface Killah, Monsters of Folk, and Common.”
I just ordered the 45 copy today.
This song has that certain laid back feel to it that reminds of a Bill Withers or another 45 I own by Timmy Thomas.
I can’t wait to spin this in my DJ sets!
